In my younger years, I had a Joe Satriani face and the long hair. Even my mother said I looked like Joe. Yes, I played guitar and learned Joe's stuff. My mother even bought me the many "Joe hats" to complete my look. Respect, love, and recongnized to both JS and me then. This particular song, so soul-ful, still brings tears to my eyes. I remember playing my guitar to this song. I couldn't complete the song because of my joyfull tears. My mom is so cool, and so is Joe. This video is FUCKING genius. What a story. Losing a loved one. Recovering from the loss. That connection of mother and son. Then leaving town in an old-school Pontiac while Joe observes. A movie.

Satch is a shredder, he writes good music and the amazing thing about him is his guitar sings, never once i can't feel what he plays and his music. you can feel the emotion in all his music. a close resemblance of his playing is from Asia, Jack Thammarat. I love his guitar playing too, every note sings... But Satch definitely rules! (though my long time ever fav is Vai)

Awesome song brings back so many awesome memories

This is Disco, Techno, and Jazz and maybe a touch of Reggae (drum beat?). Disco and Techno from Moroder covering the electronic side and 50's Jazz with the Wah Mute trumpet, sax line, and Janis' singing. Could've re-edited the trumpet solo sound with the 3 sax players miming it on video, I think. I'm not a fan, but she's got a great voice.

A faithful recreation. I'm truly impressed.
